Respite
Care
Our Respite Services are designed for individuals experiencing an increase in
symptomatology or a deterioration in support networks. Placement is intended to last
no more than fourteen days and in-home support is also available if it is not deemed
clinically necessary to remove the individual from his or her home.
Available services include daily staff contact, medication management, crisis intervention,
24-hour on-call services, case management assistance, social and recreational
opportunities. Meals are provided, including daily community dinners. With 24-hour notice,
transportation to non-Medicaid reimbursable appointments is available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Eligible individuals must be eighteen years or older, in the presence of a psychiatric crisis from which
stabilization is anticipated within 7-14 days, carry an Axis I DSM-IV diagnosis, and must be free from
current substance abuse.
Hospital Diversion
Available services include crisis assessment, crisis intervention, case management, medication monitoring,
treatment planning coordination, collaboration with therapeutic staff, transportation on an as needed basis,
and follow-up care for an additional week after leaving the program.
Eligible individuals must be 18 years or older, and in the presence of a psychiatric crisis from which
stabilization is anticipated within a reasonable period of time.
Candidates must not be a present danger to self or others, and must carry an Axis I DSM-IV diagnosis.
Finally, individuals must be free from current substance abuse, voluntarily agree to attend, and be medically stable.
