Scarsdale
This site features a house designed in the style of an English Tudor. The decorative landscaping includes perennials and annuals that are cared for by the
residents and staff. Nestled in the historic Village of Scarsdale, this spacious house has been the host of many memorable summer events.
The Scarsdale House opened in 1983 with the overwhelming support of a Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC). The Agency's first Open House in March of 1983 was
host to 150 people including neighbors, therapists, agency personnel, and town officials. The Neighborhood Advisory Council is a customary occurrence when
facilities move into a community. Although the Scarsdale NAC is no longer in existence, it was originally designed to work as a liaison between the Agency and
Village Board. To date, we continue to receive community support and input, largely due to the early efforts of this group.
